Met deze aandachtstrekker probeerde Ray Banana (newsadmin Motzarella) het volgende duidelijk te maken:
For various technical reasons the Motzarella reader servers
news.motzarella.org,
reader80.motzarella.org and
reader443.motzarella.org
will will be replaced by the following servers:
news.eternal-september.org
reader80.eternal-september.org and
reader443.eternal-september.org
To make the transition as smooth as possible, the
*.eternal-september.org servers are available as of today.
All accounts will continue to be valid, as well as all registered FQDNs in the
motzarella.org and eternal-september.org domains.

Luu Tran leeft duidelijk nog en heeft een nieuwe ("test")versie beschikbaar gemaakt.
Changes:
2009.05.01:
+ this is a test version to support > 2^31 article numbers. Apparently, the Dutch dump groups (ugh) have
passed the threshold. I guess sooner or later, the other groups will follow so I should do something about it.
(Please expect bugs galore. If this is not an issue for you, no need to bother with this version.)

XanaNews is blijkbaar al een hele tijd overgenomen van Colin Wilson en intussen zijn we toe aan versie 1.19.1.194. Op deze pagina kan je het volgende zien: new features, improvements en fixes.

[+] Changed 2546351 : Moved Copy/Select All to top level context menu in
Article window.
[-] Fixed 2622598 : "Sort by Name" in thread pane not working.
[-] Fixed 2637852 : Invalid post date in the list of Draft Posts.
[-] Fixed 2731453 : Error in startup check for "Default Newsreader".
[-] Fixed 2674637 : Intermittent lockup when quitting Gravity when it is in
the middle of downloading headers / bodies from server.
